Abstract

Reconstruction of companies are imminent processes which Serbian managers use in the fight for achieving greater efficiency and competitiveness in the global economic crisis which has affected our organizations. However, these processes are hiding many fields for ethically unacceptable actions of managers, which are mostly inspired by a desire for quick and easy cash. Numerous ethically problematic appearances and scandals encouraged the issue of rules that place the processes of company restructuring, where the trials are great. Ethical analysis of serbian managers procedures in the managing of companies in the world economic crisis is the mainstay of this paper. The main question representing together the motive for considering this theme is the following – what is the price of the unethical behavior of managers and who pays that price? Claiming that the risk of compromiting ethical norms should not be traded with and for quality and business performance, this paper provides a critical review of the ethical issues of serbian managers behavior in the global economic crisis. The paper highlights the need to build and strengthen a different business orientation of serbian companies to the human factor in terms of seeking opportunities to mitigate and overcome the negative effects of the global economic crisis. The treatment of the employees as of an easily replaceable resource which our managers still have should be changed.
